ALARNG FMTC Transient Training Enlisted Barracks Complex - CxA

This project involved the construction of 10 buildings (approximately 110,000+ square feet total) associated with the new enlisted barracks training complex for the Alabama Army National Guard, located at Ft. McClellan in Anniston, AL.  The new buildings include barracks facilities, dining facilities, a headquarters building, and other supporting structures. The multi-building complex is heated and cooled by a central closed-loop vertical bore ground-source heat pump loop field and water-source heat pump equipment and water-cooled variable refrigerant flow (VRF) equipment located in each building.

Sherer Consulting Engineers represented the Owner as the project's lead Commissioning Authority and Mechanical Commissioning Specialist, providing full construction-phase and acceptance-phase commissioning services. Mills-Conoly Engineering, working as a consultant to SCE, served as the Electrical Commissioning Specialist and provided electrical and fire alarm commissioning services. The construction cost for the project was approximately $33,000,000.
